Who we are

This policy explains how Karmyx ("Karmyx", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit karmyx.co.in, contact us, or buy from our store. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), Karmyx is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the details in your message when you use our contact form or email us.
• Order information: when you buy through our online store: name, shipping and billing address, phone number, email, items ordered, and any text, photos or artwork you upload to personalise a product.
• Payment information: payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not see or store your full card, UPI or net-banking details.
• Technical information: our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability. This website does not use advertising or analytics trackers by default.

How and why we use it

We process personal data only for clear, lawful purposes, based on your consent or for legitimate uses permitted by the DPDP Act, such as fulfilling an order you have asked for:

• to reply to your enquiries and provide quotes;
• to print, pack and deliver your order, and to keep you updated about it;
• to handle replacements, refunds and customer support;
• to keep our website and store secure and working properly;
• to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Karmyx, and only as much as they need:

• print and fulfilment partners (to produce your personalised item);
• courier and logistics partners (to deliver it);
• payment gateways (to process payments securely);
• our website, store, email and form-handling providers (to host the site and receive your messages);
• government or law-enforcement authorities, where required by law.

Some providers may store data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we rely on providers with appropriate safeguards and follow any restrictions notified under the DPDP Act.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one small preference in your browser (your light or dark theme choice) so the site looks the way you like it. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings. Our online store and payment providers may use their own cookies; please see their policies.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, tax and invoicing records). Contact-form messages that don't lead to an order are deleted within 24 months. Artwork and photos uploaded for personalisation are deleted after your order is completed and any replacement window has passed, unless you ask us to keep them for repeat orders.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
• withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done);
• nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to;
• have your grievances addressed by us, and if you are not satisfied, to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our website and store are meant for adults. If you are under 18, please use them with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly track or target advertising at children.

Keeping your data safe

We use reasonable security measures, such as HTTPS encryption, access controls and trusted service providers, to protect your data. No system is completely secure; if a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board as required by law.
